Park High and Sleeping Giant Aquaponic Systems
Montana Roots designed and built two aquaponics systems in Livingston, Montana's local middle and high schools. These living classrooms provide a dynamic place for students to engage in hands-on learning in the sciences as well as develop an appreciation for growing food and the complex, biological processes that make up our world. The schools' science, agriculture, horticulture, shop, and literature programs use the spaces for live learning opportunities. The high school has even raised rainbow and cutthroat trout for a Trout to Tray program they started!
